Our media kit and story

We've created some guidelines to help you work with our brand and assets, including our logo, content and trademarks!

Founded: 2015

James Bateman and Derrick Chow founded Medchart to give patients access and control of their own health data. In 2017, the company entered into a partnership with Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ont., which allowed Southlake patients to access and share their full legal medical record.

This partnership quickly resulted in interest from others involved with requesting health records, such as insurance companies and law firms, researchers, as well as other health-care providers.

Today, Medchart empowers patient ownership of their health data by allowing the seamless and secure exchange of health records and medical imaging across all use cases for the benefit of the patient. The patient has complete control over who has access and how they access personal health information and can turn off access with the flip of a switch.

We believe firmly in enabling patient ownership of their health data with easy sharing options for situations and services that benefit them on a daily basis.
